They claim to be authentic to the Umbria region of Italy. I don't really know what that is supposed to be, so I couldn't tell ya.

For this corner of Bloomington, I think I'd rank them
1. Umbria
2. Nick-N-Willy's
3. Frankie's
But, if I want a lighter crust, then Nick-N-Willy's is #1. If you move away from here just a little bit then you have more options like Davanni's, Broadway, Punch, American Pie, and Carbones. I love Punch. Love it. Broadway is really good and American Pie makes a pretty good pizza too. Either Broadway or American Pie will deliver out here if you spend $20 or more, which isn't hard to do. I'm sure you've had Davanni's. I might put all of those ahead of Umbria. I would struggle with Davanni's vs Umbria, but they are very different pizzas so it could depend on the day. I have not had Carbones yet.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14648956664831317091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-821229868657983360.post-67878193220903183962009-04-18T21:01:00.000-05:002009-04-18T21:01:00.000-05:00Ok Mr. Not Quite a Foodie, consider us officially ...Ok Mr. Not Quite a Foodie, consider us officially at odds. We too ordered delivery from Umbria (love the online option btw) however, the crust was the worst part of the pizza after the burnt gyro. Seriously! Burnt gyro has no flavour except burnt, all 6 pieces of it on a medium. I love that the owners are "actually" Italian but sheesh, keep it authentic (or as much as possible for this climate).

I hope we laugh about this at Cub on day... :-)Kitchen Storieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14436685057912515550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-821229868657983360.post-80813582884891312772009-04-17T13:33:00.000-05:002009-04-17T13:33:00.000-05:00Crock pots are wonderful.Crock pots are wonderful.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14648956664831317091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-821229868657983360.post-78852840089192746832009-04-17T07:36:00.000-05:002009-04-17T07:36:00.000-05:00That sounds great! I'm from Montreal, QC so I'm a crust girl and I've got to tell you, I'm still convinced that Frankie's classic crust, picked up, is the best.
